A MCE Insurance British Superbike weekend takes place over three days, with practice on day one, qualifying on day two and two MCE BSB races on day three.
On two occasions each year, MCE BSB features a 'triple header', with an additional race following the F1-style three-part qualifying session.
The MCE BSB races typically last around 30 minutes each. Qualifying determines the grid for race one and the fastest laps from that race are used to form the grid for the next one. Just like in four wheel racing, a safety car is deployed when deemed necessary by the Race Director to slow the pack down and enable crashed bikes to be recovered or injured riders to be treated by medical staff.
Each MCE BSB event also features a busy timetable of regular support races, including the Dickies British Supersport Championship, Hel Motostar Championship, Pirelli National Superstock 1000 and Pirelli National Superstock 600. Single manufacturer championships will also be present in 2015 featuring Ducati and KTM.
