CF Motorsport announce Currie and Taylor for 2016

CF Motorsport are already looking ahead to the 2016 season and have today (Friday) confirmed their first riders for the upcoming season as Ben Currie and Taz Taylor in the Motorpoint British Supersport and Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championships.

Australian Currie, who finished second overall for the team this year in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 series, will remain with the squad for a second term, moving up to the Supersport class on one of the Pacedays.com R6 Yamaha machines.

He will be joined in the team by Taz Taylor who will move into Superstock 600 for the first time after a front running season in the Motostar category that saw his claim 15 podium finishes including nine wins.

Currie said: "I am delighted to say I'm continuing another year with Craig and the CF Motorsport gang. After the year we have had and the incredible working relationship we have formed I think we are only going to get stronger and stronger as we move up into British Supersport where I want to be able to challenge for podiums. Finishing 2nd in stock 600 this year has given me the confidence to step up and with CF motorsport behind me and the management of former World champ Troy Corser I think it can be another awesome year."

Taylor said: "I'm really looking forward to riding for Craig and to be part of the CF Motorsport team. I've spoken to Ryan (my old team boss) about what I should do and he said Craig's team is definitely the best option. I'm nervous about throwing my leg over a 600 because a Moto3 is the biggest bike I've ever ridden but the team has a lot of experience and with a lot of pre-season testing planned hopefully I'll have a good time in Spain and be ready for round 1."

CF Motorsport are currently in discussions with a third rider who would join on a second Supersport machine in 2016 as the team look to build upon the successes of past seasons.
