The Motorpoint British Supersport Championship leads the support class line up and in 2014 will feature an incredible line up of riders representing the world's leading manufacturers. Defending champions Martrain Yamaha have a new rider for this season with former champion Alastair Seeley aiming for a second title. He faces growing opposition to retain his crown with Gearlink Kawasaki gunning for the title with Glenn Irwin and National Superstock 600 winner Luke Hedger plus former championship-winning teams Tyco Suzuki return with Taylor Mackenzie and Smiths Racing Triumph line up with Billy McConnell and Graeme Gowland. The Prodigy's Keith Flint will also debut his Team Traction Control in 2014 with American James Rispoli.
Motorpoint British Supersport Class fast facts:
Track Time: 2 x 30 minutes free practices + 1 x 30 minutes min qualifying practice, 1 qualifying day sprint race (75% feature race distance setting grid for feature race) + 10 mins raceday warm up + 25 mins feature race. Championship points awarded for both races.
British Eurosport increase their live coverage for 2014 to include the Motorpoint British Supersport sprint race broadcast live and in HD in addition to the Feature race.
The 2014 Motorpoint British Supersport Championship will also feature a new Evo class to deliver some cost saving measures and create an entry level for teams aspiring to move into the series. The 2014 Evo regulations are available to view by clicking here.
