Presenting Sponsor

Pirelli has been the Sole Tyre Supplier and Presenting Sponsor for MCE British Superbikes since 2008, recently announcing their continued involvement until 2020. MCE BSB uses a 'one tyre supplier' to give a level playing field for all riders, which results in close, competitive racing.

All riders in the Superbike, Supersport, Pirelli National Superstock 100 and 600 classes use Pirelli tyres, along with those in the Ducati TriOptions series. The Superbike riders run on Diablo Superbike Slick tyres whilst the other classes use treaded Pirelli Supercorsa SC tyres. In wet weather full Rain tyres can be used or in tricky, 'intermediate' conditions a less heavily cut Wet tyre is available.

A massive logistical operation sees the team from Pirelli bring 4,000 tyres to each race and the 14 tyre fitters are busy from Thursday onwards fitting tyres for the teams. The Pirelli Racing Manager helps teams choose the correct selection of tyre and advise on tyre pressures. 2015 has seen an unprecedented level of Superbike new lap records set as riders have used the softer compound of slick tyre to log super fast laps.
